Glass can break in an instant, with tiny pieces falling to the ground! It can be pretty rare for glass to just break, but it can happen. During the manufacturing process of tempered glass, the glass is heated and cooled quickly creating a strong piece of what we call, “Tempered Glass”. It is designed to take the place of an ordinary plate glass window which breaks in large shards similar to a mirror.
The U.S. Product Safety Commission has been getting calls about tempered glass exploding randomly. This is called Spontaneous Glass Breakage
Sunray has a solution to this problem.
Installation of Safety & Security Window Film
- Holds shards of glass together
- Protects against spontaneous glass breakage
- Protects against seismic glass breakage
- Forced glass impacts
