A Smarter Way to Control Light

At Ken Ganley Volkswagen in Willoughby Hills, Ohio, harsh glare was impacting the showroom environment and customer experience. Sunray® Window Films delivered an intelligent dual-solution approach that transformed the space.

The Challenge

Automotive showrooms face a unique challenge: they need abundant natural light to showcase vehicles, but excessive glare and heat can detract from the customer experience and damage vehicle interiors. Ken Ganley Volkswagen needed a solution that would optimize light without sacrificing visibility or aesthetics.

The Solution

We implemented a two-part system designed for both performance and aesthetics:

Upper Window Lites: Solyx Snow White Light Diffuser
This decorative film acts as a natural light filter, transforming harsh, high-contrast sunlight into soft, evenly distributed illumination. The result is a showroom that feels curated, calm, and timelessly bright—no hotspots, no visual distractions.

Lower Window Lites: 3M Affinity 15 Heat & Glare Reducing Film
The performance layer. This film handles the technical work—cutting solar heat, minimizing glare, and reducing UV exposure—all while maintaining crystal-clear visibility. An invisible upgrade to the building’s thermal envelope.

Together, these layers create an optimized environment where aesthetics and performance work in harmony.
